I believe the greatest students in life are teaching what they love. My passion is to sew and I only wish I would have learned earlier in life. I value the process of handmade items such as clothing and items essential for everyday living.
My background is in sculpture and I have worked in fabric sales for almost a decade. For the past 8 years I have owned a company where I design and make leather bags and accessories. I have studied drawing, woodworking, upholstery, and sewing with fabric but I'm consistently most drawn to leatherwork, especially hand stitching.
In our fast moving world, learning the art of making slows us down and reminds us to be patient. My classes are project based and relationship building. I'm persistent to be present with each student in order to build self confidence, problem solving, a well-crafted finished product and most of all the joy of making.
